Your Expression

After viewing an exhibit of Young Masters sponsored by the Dallas Museum of Art, I am so impressed with the creativity and variety of materials and techniques shown by the fifty high school students chosen.

It makes me so excited to realize that the depth of expression in all of us is there, waiting to be recognized, developed, celebrated.

Despite all the challenges and standardizations, these students and the many more who are in classes all over the world, are all putting expression into form.

Every field of interest has the bright lights of creativity readying themselves to shine forth.

You are one of them.

Your ideas are wonderful expressions of yourself.

The ideas that are coming to you have to come through you.  They cannot be seen in any other way.

You are the one.

Yours is the artistry, the inspiration, the discipline, the commitment, the beauty, the imagination, the symmetry, the originality, the celebration.

In every field, yours is the one.

Gaining My Balance

Sometimes something can throw you off balance.

A new relationship, misjudgment in some way, harsh words, misunderstandings.

I am happy to say that adjustments can be made, but not necessarily by any effort on anyone’s part.

As I have continued looking for inspiration in other areas of my life, I am finding that it permeates the ones that have been blocked.

I realized that despite communication gaps, I could still love the parties involved.

I realized that we were still related through out spiritual natures and spiritual values.

Everyone has a spiritual nature, whether they identify themselves that way or not.

I have become more and more aware of my own spiritual nature, so it has become easier for me to see other people that way, too.

When I do that, what we have in common comes out, rather than misunderstandings and differences.

I feel much easier about the people involved.

I am happier with the way I am living my life.

I am not holding myself or anyone else to a past incident.

I am moving forward with a deep sense of love for all of us.

The Privilege of Choosing

There is a longing, a deep identity that knows who you are.

Caught up in the convention of education, work and traditional paths, the longing takes longer to emerge, but it has always been there.

It knows who you are.

When, at last, you tune into it, it takes you down the path to your greatest fulfillment.

Do you need to wait?

Can you tune in earlier when you are younger?

Yes, of course.

It is just the conventions of the society in which you grow up that determine a long waiting period, confusion and lack of direction.

Or a convention of a hierarchy of one type of profession over another.

Immediately, at any point, you have the privilege of choosing your true identity and true profession.

As soon as you hear it and can identity the longing, you are in touch.

Let it guide your every decision and take you quickly to your domain.

Be fulfilled now.

Do not wait.

Do not linger as you pass out the door of convention.

You know who you are; you have always been able to feel it.

Celebrate.

Patience and Expectation

I am the recipient of patience and devotion from my life partner.

I have been learning a completely new practice for myself because of that.

I was required to replace frustration and impatience as I watched him grow.

I realized I needed to find my own dream to pursue, and my own purpose.

Changing my focus has lead to a completely different practice for me.

I have been able to learn new skills and to apply my talents in completely different ways.

I have found new talents I had no idea were there.

This has enabled my partner to have room and respect in finding his own way.

Even the support of a loved one does not give us the resources we need.

Those still have to be developed individually.

It is the only way to gain the experiences which build a foundation.

So now, while I have been exploring and discovering my dreams and building a foundation for them, he has made the progress he needs to on his own behalf.

We have our own individual approaches, our own individual viewpoint, our own resources.

Those come together and compliment one another.

Who knew?  I was able to leave my old practices and habits and become a much more fulfilled and gracious person, full of expectation for myself.

My life partner, too, has had room to accomplish that process for himself, uncrowded by my opinions and frustrations.

I am grateful, patient and full of expectation now.

Don't Play for the System

Don’t play for the system; do what you want to do because you love it.

It will come together for you.

You will get better at it and become a master.

Others will seek you out.

Your greatest guidance is your feelings, your intuition.

That is why you are here.

That is what your life is about.

Sooner or later, you will discover it.

Do it now, before more and more baggage is dumped on you.

If you have a way to serve, and you do, then that is your goal and your purpose, and all your guidance will direct you that way.

If you choose to get caught up in the world’s goals for a while, obviously, you can.

But your true nature will surface at some point and be ready to take you where you belong.
