The Most Wonderful Thing

What would you be doing if you could choose the most wonderful thing that you enjoy doing?

What would you create?

How would you engage your mind?

What is in your imagination?

What are the tools that you need?

What is the first tiny step you can take?

Let these questions be the ones you answer every day to create the life you would most enjoy.

Let your heart’s desire guide you.

It is there for a reason.

You exist in the form you do with the ideas you have to express an absolutely unique identity.

This is your vital contribution to society.

You need only take the steps to create your original ideas to bring all the goodness you could ever dream of into your life.

The challenges you face will build your strength, conviction, confidence, and skills.

You will become more than you ever thought you could.

You will be challenged to grow more powerfully than you could ever imagine.

You will live in a different kind of world, the one created by your strength, your individuality, and your capacity to share your powerful and uplifting ideas.

Guard Your Decency

It is important to treat others with decency.

Respecting where others are coming from and their points of view makes conversation possible.

Creating room for lots of good ideas to surface gives you more to work with on a project.

Combining ideas can often create a more effective solution.

It all begins with a practice of respect and decency.

Do not be influenced by an appeal to low emotions when dealing with anyone.

Do not be led to think there are better and worse people.

Guard your decency by treating everyone with the respect you desire.

Your attitude will uplift everyone around you and will attract really strong and positive people onto your team.

When people know that they can safely express their ideas, it makes innovation easier.

It moves society forward as well.

You will be surprised to find yourself in a far more effective place when you guard your decency and practice it consistently.

Who You Listen To

In each person, there is an inner fire which is always fueled by truth, passion, delight, and purpose.

This is the only thing you need to listen to.

The consensus which allows negativity to predominate, or entertainment, or wastes the minds of so many people, is simply not appealing to one who has that inner fire.

It requires that we do not listen to what is around us.

It requires that we listen only to the uplifting purpose that we can each serve.

It requires associations with those of uplifting and passionate commitment.

When your place yourself in this mode of thinking and acting, your life takes on a singular quality of happiness.

Your satisfaction exceeds anything else you have ever done.

Your focus on lifting up your attitude lets you rise to take the steps that are invisible to those who are lost in negativity.

When your course is set on giving, serving, uplifting and including everyone who can possibly benefit from your work, you attain a deep peace and happiness which permeates your life.

Viewing the contributions from people like this makes me feel wonderful.

I love reading about the way Dr. Yunas’ concept of “social business” transformed the lives of so many in Bangladesh and took them out of poverty.

I love the fact that Atlanta, GA, where the founder of Habitat for Humanity lived, has the lowest rate of homelessness.

I love the commitment of the Buddhist monk who built a school to take care of so many abandoned children and orphans in the foothills of the Himalayans.

I love the inspired action from within which has guided so many people to turn their lives around and to help so many others do so as well.
