Who You Listen To

In each person, there is an inner fire which is always fueled by truth, passion, delight, and purpose.

This is the only thing you need to listen to.

The consensus which allows negativity to predominate, or entertainment, or wastes the minds of so many people, is simply not appealing to one who has that inner fire.

It requires that we do not listen to what is around us.

It requires that we listen only to the uplifting purpose that we can each serve.

It requires associations with those of uplifting and passionate commitment.

When your place yourself in this mode of thinking and acting, your life takes on a singular quality of happiness.

Your satisfaction exceeds anything else you have ever done.

Your focus on lifting up your attitude lets you rise to take the steps that are invisible to those who are lost in negativity.

When your course is set on giving, serving, uplifting and including everyone who can possibly benefit from your work, you attain a deep peace and happiness which permeates your life.

Viewing the contributions from people like this makes me feel wonderful.

I love reading about the way Dr. Yunas’ concept of “social business” transformed the lives of so many in Bangladesh and took them out of poverty.

I love the fact that Atlanta, GA, where the founder of Habitat for Humanity lived, has the lowest rate of homelessness.

I love the commitment of the Buddhist monk who built a school to take care of so many abandoned children and orphans in the foothills of the Himalayans.

I love the inspired action from within which has guided so many people to turn their lives around and to help so many others do so as well.
