Mentoring Themselves

Young people are taking the lead in powerful action to redirect the course of our country.

They are defining themselves in powerful and responsible ways.

The energy they have is being focused in ways to benefit themselves and the entire culture of the country.

They are not stuck in the “me” generation; they are focused on “us”.

They are rightfully concerned with their own immediate safety and the direction the country has been heading for so many years.

They are the great contrast to the greed and corruption which have been undermining the values we were all raised on.

They have the courage articulate the values they want to see practiced on a national scale.

It is a strong movement of awareness and self-empowerment.

Using the tools of “we the people”, they are registering young voters.

They are invested in the health of the country to sustain and improve their own health.

What they are doing will benefit their generation, the present generations and all the generations which follow.

Action from Deep Peace

One of the benefits of learning to access deep peace is the ability to listen for the moment to take action.

In the process of reflection within the feeling of deep peace, there is a moment when all the ideas have been gathered and it is time to take action.

This action includes all that is necessary to be effective.

Because it comes from a place that is beyond emotion, the commitment is much deeper.

The action which comes from deep peace is effective because it takes into consideration everything that is needed.

Actin from deep peace is not impulsive.

Action from deep peace is considered.

Action from deep peace is comprehensive, even from the first step.

Action from deep peace leads to an effective outcome.

Although we may be enraged when we seek deep peace, we are listening for the most effective solutions.

Then we take the most effective steps, soberly, and from due consideration and guidance.

A Broader Band Width

Strengthening my spiritual connections requires a broader band width.

That way, I don’t get thrown off by emotional disruptions.

When I am narrowly caught up in my own situation, I cannot hear the solutions which pertain to all of us.

There is always a universal solution which addresses all our problems.

It is the answer to to the question, “What is best for all of us?”

Which actions will address the needs which everyone has?

Which actions will express the greatest kindness and lead to the greatest benefit?

Which actions and policies will create the greatest safety and prosperity?

Since there is no way that only one person can do all these things, it is good to listen generously and widely for solutions.

Each time there is a question, it shows that an issue has been brought to consciousness.

Listening for the answer with deep compassion, allows us to go deeper to hear the answer.

This requires a broader band width, one which shows awareness and compassion.

Then the true solutions can be found, the ones which are sustainable and which reach everyone they can bless.

Thinking in this way gives us solutions across the board, across a wider band width.

Responsibility

How do you take responsibility for your true nature?

It is within you.

Your purpose is to discover and express it.

Learn to let go of the outside world.

Learn to listen within.

Your guidance, direction, and resources one from within and are expressed outwardly.

You construct a different kind of world when you work from within.

The outward is the result.

Trying to manipulate the outward world results in chaos and imbalance.

It is like trying to build on shifting sand.

The permanence and stability of the inward world, your true nature, establishes you on a sound footing in the outward world.

Wealth That Comes From Peace

With peace of mind, we are free to think about a much wider range of possibilities.

When our personal interactions are assured, we can branch out into more expansive communications.

With an attitude which values everyone, we can utilize ideas from everyone.

This always assures that more needs are met with more imagination.

This safeguards intelligent use of common resources.

As we make the adjustments to our society from the desire that all may live well, we will settle the issues which cause so much disturbance.

We will find the answers and enact the solutions until we are assured that all who have needs are able to meet them.

As a community, we will be aware of the well-being of all our members.

We will move into the belief that all is not well until all are given the means to uplift themselves.

We will not see anyone deprived of resources which are available to some.

We will make sure that all feel valued and welcomed and that they are given useful and uplifting work to do to contribute to the sense of wealth and well-being in the community.

Treasure Your Preferences

After following through with someone else’s plan for my life, I have finally discovered the amazing benefits of doing what I love to do.

First of all, it was a challenge of self-doubt even to explore the idea of what I love to do.

I kept listening to the direction that came to me, though, and now have put together a combination of all my favorite things.

It feels completely different to be happy all the time about what I do.

I love every part of it.

I get to play with wonderful materials.

I get to meet with the people who enjoy the same kinds of activities I like to do.

I get to be a natural introvert and only share when I feel like it.

I get to play with designs and go to visit the print shop and see them work their magic on my originals.

It is fun to share the different steps with the people who are helping me bring about my products.

Trusting my preferences is leading to a delightful life and one that I can continue to build on with happiness and satisfaction.

Near and Far

How do the things I do today build what I want for the future?

What are the qualities in my life which will let me develop and take my ideas forward?

I appreciated learning about this in a book written for high schoolers by Napoleon Hill, called “The Law of Success in Sixteen Lessons”.

Since it is in the same style as his more famous book “Think and Grow Rich”, it conveys great respect for the abilities of young people to achieve.

The good work habits and rigorous thinking applied to daily life and responsible relationships in both personal and business life require consistency and discipline.

There is no substitute for integrity.

There is no fast track.

This is not a quick read.

Steady application of the principles creates a strong foundation for success.

Rereading the book shows how deeply the ideas have penetrated and leaves room for more study and application.
